Located in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Ecola State Park offers a beautiful overlook of the Oregon Coast. There is also a nice secluded beach area further down the road. I managed to escape the park fee by getting there early in the morning. HDR shot composed of multiple exposures, merged, and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro.

There is a slight blur in the clouds due to the jetstream taking them inland from the sea. This would have been avoidable if my camera had an auto bracketing available instead of manually changing shutter speed.

i think the fact that you had a blur in the clouds sets the mood even better, because to me, it has a very mystical/dreamlike feel that is just picture perfect.

awesome!

Love this. Great job! I was just there a couple months ago. Going back to Cannon Beach in September.

It's a wonderful filter, but I really can't wait until I can afford a new body so I can have my current one converted to a dedicated IR camera.

Yeah, I've the results from the actual converted camera and it would definitely push it further into the IR category. Great stuff man.

How did bracketing work either way? The water is moving so how could the camera capture it that fast?

when you blend them together it doesn't mess with the water too much because the overexposed shot won't make much of an impact, as the other shots tend to freeze the water if the shutter is quick enough on the even exposure. the underexposed image is just for shadows, the overexposed for highlights.
